About

Better workdays start with a better setup.

FlowDeskLab exists for one reason: most of us spend the majority of our waking hours at a desk, yet we settle for setups that quietly wear us down – sore backs, cluttered surfaces, screens at the wrong height, and gear that overpromises and underdelivers.

That’s what I’m here to fix. FlowDeskLab is an independent review site covering home-office desks, chairs, monitors, lighting, and the accessories that actually make a workspace work. No hype, no padding – just clear, honest verdicts that help you spend your money once and spend it well.

How I choose what to recommend

Every recommendation starts with real research – comparing specs, reading hundreds of owner reviews, and checking trusted sources on posture and ergonomics. I’ll always be clear about what I’ve vetted myself and what I’ve researched. The goal is simple: help you skip the expensive mistakes I’m still working to undo myself.

Who’s behind it

I’m Joel, and I research, write, and stand behind every word here. For years I worked as a wedding photographer – which sounds active until you realize it’s days on end hunched over a screen editing thousands of photos. It caught up with me: chronic lower-back pain that, honestly, I’m still working to fix. Instead of throwing money at the first “ergonomic” thing I saw, I started doing the homework – studying posture, desk height, and seating, and figuring out which gear actually earns its price. FlowDeskLab is where I share that research openly. As I improve my own setup, I’ll report back with real, hands-on experience – and until then, I’ll always be clear about what I’ve tested myself versus what I’ve researched deeply.
